Suicide Prevention Event
The National NHS Muslim Network welcome all our Muslim colleagues, allies and friends to our Suicide Prevention Event (supporting World Suicide Prevention Day).
World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) was established in 2003 by the International Association for Suicide Prevention in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO) and is a significant advocacy and communication based event aimed at reaching national organisations, governments and the general public, giving a singular message that suicide can be prevented.
Date: Friday, 8 September 2023
Time: 5-6pm
The theme this year is ‘Creating Hope Through Action’.
The event will be hosted by the Co-Chairs of the network and will feature the following incredible guest speakers:
- Heather Barker, Branch Director and Listening volunteer, Samaritans
- Mushtag Kahin, Nursing Associate and Governor, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust
- Helen Campbell, Head of Allyship, Wellbeing, and Talent Development, National NHS Muslim Network
