Our Co-Chairs win ‘Outstanding achievement of the year’ at the National BAME Health & Care Awards
The Co-Chairs of the National NHS Muslim Network, Shohail Shaikh, Halima Dagia and Riyaz Patel won the award for ‘Outstanding achievement of the year’ at the National BAME Health & Care Awards, which were held on 28 September 2023.
The award recognises people who have produced a development initiative for BAME staff that has gained national recognition as an example of good practice. The Co-Chairs were recognised for their vision and their Support Package that has made a significant contribution to NHS Muslim colleagues and allies.
The National BAME Health & Care Awards celebrate BAME staff and networks across British health and social care who are making significant improvements in BAME career development support and forging better healthcare initiatives for their communities.
The Co-Chairs of the network attended the award ceremony, along with their Executive Sponsor – Chris Hopson, Chief Strategy Officer, and members of their Executive team – all of which were ecstatic with the win!
