Ramadan Mubarak! Last Tuesday, I attended the NHS Muslim Networks Ramadan Event hosted by Shohail Shaikh (Chartered Fellow, FCIPD), Halima Dagia (Chartered MCIPD) & Riyaz Patel BSc (Hons), CIPS It was such a lovely overview of Ramadan - what it means, what it consists of and how we as NHS managers, can ensure we are actively ensuring our teams have optimised working arrangements to support their journey through this special time. As a management trainee, we always discuss how to be a good, impactful leader. Attending this webinar, made me realise how important these events are to ensure we can actually build compassionate and inclusive management and support all our colleagues. I received lots of guidance from how to find out who is taking part in ramadan, to how to best support colleagues with working from home arrangements and more flexible working hours. I am also looking forward to taking part in the #NHSRamadanChallenge !
